Pattison’s History

Early 1930s: The family’s roller skating legacy begins with Shaun Pattison’s great-grandfather, Weston Betts, entering the skating business.

1951: After a fire destroys their Redondo Beach rink, Shaun’s grandparents, Pat and Evelyn Pattison, relocate east of the mountains and purchase Pattison’s North in Spokane, WA.

1974: Ownership transitions from Pat and Evelyn to their daughter Bobbie and her husband Ben Winkler.

2006: After managing the rink for 33 years, Bobbie and Ben Winkler retire. Shaun and his wife, Jericho, purchase the facility, continuing the family tradition with a strong commitment to its foundational values.

September 1, 2006: Shaun and Jericho Pattison officially take ownership of Pattison’s North. The rink is renowned for its affordable, safe, and enjoyable environment suitable for all ages.

Facilities: The rink boasts a 95′ X 176′ #1 grade maple surface with a rotunda design, enhancing the skating experience by allowing smoother and faster movement around curves.

Legacy: For over 73 years, Pattison’s North has been a staple in Eastern Washington, providing endless entertainment to children, teens, and adults. The rink offers various skating sessions tailored to holidays, school breaks, and more.
